🤖 Sovereign AI Meetup – Understand AI. Shape It Openly. Act Independently.

Starting in October 2026, GC.OS and the Chaos Computer Club Ulm will host a series of talks and workshops every Tuesday focused on a self-determined AI future.

The focus is on open technologies, Open Source, and the question of how companies can use, understand, and operate AI autonomously - from open models and self-hosting to practical introductions to AI software packages.

The event series includes:

  • Evening talks on Tuesdays at 6:00 PM, offering pragmatic overviews for decision-makers and anyone interested in AI technologies. In-depth AI expertise is not required.
  • Workshops on Tuesdays from 1:00 PM onward (not every Tuesday) - for developers and technically minded people who want to learn how to use sovereign AI in practice.

An Open Source Hackathon will take place on November 2 and 3, with onboarding options for technically minded participants and an accessible introduction to the fundamentals of Open Source AI and Python development for beginners (useful for subsequent workshops).
